Phalaenopsis modesta

These are seed grown.  Mature size.  Leaf span 6 inch.  Planted in 2.5 inch pot.  About 2-4 month from flowering.

Update: March 20, 2024 - This species is known to produce a cluster of very fragrant flowers.  This batch of plants have vanilla like fragrance.

We used to have Phalaenopsis modesta with grape flavor soda fragrance, from different origin.

Phalaenopsis modesta is endemic to various regions of Borneo including Sabah, West Kotah, Mt. Kinabalu, and Tawau.
