‘Blastoise’ is a sister plant to ‘Platinum Ruby’. Both are notable flowers from Mituo Orchids, named Silver Lining during the pandemic with Edward Yen’s help. Influenced by Phalaenopsis gigantea, it features waxy texture and raised spots. As a Phalaenopsis Mituo Sun hybrid with strong pigmentation, its new leaves display red spots that fade as they age.
